Seattle Metro Transit

Seattle Metro provides bus and light rail service throughout Seattle and King County.  If you need help navigating the public transportation system after your move, King County Metro has a trip planner and bus schedule information to help you get almost anywhere in Seattle and the surrounding areas. 

Seattlest

Seattlest is a local blog dedicated to all things Seattle.  From local dining options to nightlife, Seattlest is a great resource to help you find fun things to do around Seattle.  If you have recently moved to Seattle, check them out for some great suggestions.

Seattle Weekly

You may see the free newspaper around town or at your local coffeeshop.  The Seattle Weekly is a Seattle staple and it offers free articles and news about Seattle, including concert schedules, music reviews and great information about the local Seattle scene.

Seattle City Government

The city of Seattle offers this resource with information regarding all city services and public affairs.  If you have recently moved to Seattle, you will find this an excellent guide for getting started with setting up utilities and learning about the many services offered by the City of Seattle.

State of Washington

For information regarding state services, the state of Washington offers a wealth of information.  The Department of Licensing and other state offices and departments can be accessed to help make your move to Seattle even easier. 

Seattle Public Libraries

Seattle has one of the best library systems in the country.  With branches in almost every neighborhood and a newly built central library, the library system makes an excellent resource for you and your family after your move to Seattle.

Seattle Community Colleges

Seattle has several community colleges that offer continuing education and other classes for adults and students.  After your Seattle move, you may want to check out your nearest community college for evening classes or other local Seattle activities.

Though no longer available in print, the Seattle Post-Intelligencer is a leading Seattle news source.  Local news updates and classified are available as well as information regarding local events, movies, and shows.
